Disney Disappoints with New 'Doc McStuffins' Episode

                   I have already addressed the issues I have with how liberal the Disney Corporation has become in my previous article entitled “Why I Will Never Allow My Children to Watch the New ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Movie.” Disney has shown to favor the sin of homosexuality and has infiltrated this sin into the media, notably the media geared toward young children, such as with the new Beauty and the Beast film and a Christmas-themed commercial featuring the characters from the movie, Frozen.  Not only Disney, but Nickelodeon has done this as well, with the show, The Loud House.
            Once again, Disney has tried to desensitize young children to accept the sin of homosexuality with a new episode of the popular cartoon, Doc McStuffins. According to several websites, a recent episode features a doll “family” which consists of an African American female doll, a Caucasian female doll, and two small children dolls. This “doll family” is obviously supposed to imitate a lesbian couple with children. In fact, I did not realize this, but the creator of the Doc McStuffins cartoon, Chris Nee, is also a lesbian. The two female dolls who make up the “doll family” are voiced by lesbians Wanda Sykes and Portia de Rossi, which only solidifies the fact that homosexuality is promoted by this show and by Disney.

            I am totally disgusted that Disney has, once again, stooped to such a low level as to try to expose small children to such a perverted sin as homosexuality. Children, including my own, who watched the show are too small to fully understand a godly relationship between a man and a woman, and they are certainly too little to grasp the idea of a sinful relationship between two members of the same sex. Romans Chapter 1 speaks very clearly against the sin of homosexuality, as does other Bible verses such as I Corinthians 6:9, which says, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” Others verses that speak against homosexuality include the following;
          Leviticus 20:13 – “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”
            Jude 1:7 – “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
         I Corinthians 7:2– “Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.”
          
     My children, especially my oldest daughter loved this show. This show helped her to stop being afraid of going to the doctor. Before this episode aired, all of my children watched Doc McStuffins almost every day. It is sad that I now have to block this cartoon from being seen by my children, which my husband and I have already decided to do. We cannot support this show in any way because of its promotion of sin. By blocking this show, I mean that we have our television set up to where whenever this show comes on, the screen will go black and the show cannot be seen. We have done this also for The Loud House. Not everything about Disney is bad and sinful. Disney still has some good shows and movies for children that do not promote sin. Those shows and movies that do promote sin such as Doc McStuffins should be avoided by both parents and children alike.
       
          I encourage all parents who have children who enjoy watching the Doc McStuffins show to take a stand as we did against allowing your children to watch anymore episodes of this, and any other show that promotes sinful behavior. I know that this can be difficult at times, especially when children really enjoy a certain film or show, but a stand must be taken in order for our children to see that we are strong followers of Christ and not of the world.  We cannot protect our children’s minds against sin throughout their lives, but during the time when we have them in our care and under our influence, we must do all we can to teach our children how to stand against wrongdoing and to not merely “go along” with sin just because it is depicted in a popular show or it seems that many people are partaking of that sin. We, as parents, are the spiritual models that our children will learn to look up to and imitate as they get older. Let us all be sure that we are modeling the correct behavior that a Christian should in order to raise up faithful and strong Christian children. “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” (Epehsians 6:4)
 
            “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8).
