My husband and I are happy to announce the birth of our fourth child, Sesley Kristina! She came into the world on November 6th, 2017, weighting 7 lbs. and 14 ounces, and measuring 19 ½ inches long. We are so thankful of our little Sesley, and her siblings are thankful for her as well!
Children are indeed blessings! Psalm 127:3 states; “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD:  and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”  Both my husband and I wanted a big family after we became married, and we both were in agreement that we should let God give us as many children as He wants to entrust in our care. We would never want to stop any other blessing that God wants to give us from coming, and since children are great blessings, we want to accept as many children as we are given by God. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17).
God has a plan for every person that He places here upon the earth, even before that person is conceived. Jeremiah 1:5 reveals this by saying; “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” If it is God’s Will to give us more children than the four we have here already, then my husband and I would not want to use the free will that God has given us to try and stop Him from doing so. Instead, we have chosen to trust in the Lord with all of our hearts, and thus accept all of the children He gives us with open arms. We know that His Will is being done in doing this. We also wanted to have our children close together in age, so that they would grow up together and be close throughout their lives. So far, we have been able to do this. My husband and I will do all we can to raise our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, as Ephesians 6:4 commands us to do. May we all be thankful for every child, and know that by being more like little children, we will earn our home in Heaven!
